De Gea’s move to Real Madrid is inevitable, says ex-goalkeeper Buyo

De-GeaREAL Madrid will have good enough options in goal even if Manchester United are “too stubborn” and keep hold of David De Gea, according to former shot-stopper Paco Buyo.

Madrid have been trying to sign De Gea for the duration of the summer but with no breakthrough in talks the Spain keeper has been banished from United’s first-team squad by manager Louis van Gaal.

Buyo, who spent 11 years with los Blancos between 1986 and 1997, believes it is inevitable that De Gea will end up at the Santiago Bernabeu, but says his former club have good enough options in Keylor Navas and Kiko Casilla anyway. “It seems De Gea will play for Real.

This season? Possibly,” he told Omnisport. “If Van Gaal and United are not too stubborn and they don’t ask for too much money, De Gea will come this season. Otherwise, Real Madrid just can wait three months and sign him for free and Manchester will earn nothing.
