CHAN Eagles plan road trip to Cotonou on Friday

Super Eagles Media Officer, Toyin Ibitoye told The Guardian that the team’s technical crew, led by Salisu Yusuf has promised to present a team capable of beating Benin Republic in Cotonou.

The home-based national team, who are in Kano preparing for the 2018 CHAN qualifiers against Benin Republic, are expected to depart Lagos by road to Cotonou on Friday.

The home-based national team, who are in Kano preparing for the 2018 CHAN qualifiers against Benin Republic, are expected to depart Lagos by road to Cotonou on Friday.

The CHAN Eagles players will resume training this morning in Kano after leaving camp to play for their clubs at the weekend.

Super Eagles Media Officer, Toyin Ibitoye told The Guardian that the team’s technical crew, led by Salisu Yusuf has promised to present a team capable of beating Benin Republic in Cotonou.

Ibitoye said all logistics have been put in place to ensure the players put in their best in Benin Republic. He also revealed that the list of players for the Russia 2018 World Cup qualifier against Cameroun would be out this month.

“The CHAN team will hit Lagos from Kano by air and travel to Cotonou by road. All logistics for the success of the team have been put in place. “Also list of players for the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Cameroun is ready and will be out soon,” he said.

Meanwhile, NFF President, Amaju Pinnick has revealed that a private jet that will convey the Eagles from Nigeria to Cameroun and back to the country have been arranged, adding that hotels for the players and their officials in Cameroun have been reserved.

The NFF president also disclosed that the Super Eagles’ welfare was the federation’s priority, stressing that the body was working round the clock to avoid the type of result the Eagles’ against South Africa in the Nations Cup qualifier.
