About 200 golfers from different clubs from across the federation are participating in the two-day event, which ends today.

According to the Captain of the Benin Club’s Golf Section, Ignatius Aigbokhaode, the organising committee has put in place everything necessary to make the event successful.

He confirmed that golfers from UBTH Golf Club, Ibori Country and Golf Club (ICGC), Asaba, Ikeja Golf Club, Sapele Club, Smokin’ Hills, Ibadan Golf Club, among others, would be part of the event.

“We have received tremendous interest from various golf clubs in the country, and our club has really prepared for the event because we plan to make it keenly competitive, fulfilled and glamorous.

“We are praying for a good and favourably weather on those days so that golfers will be able to have full fun on our green lush course rated among the best in the country. Benin is known as the home of golf and we are going to show them our hospitality,” he said.
