Akinwunmi lauds firm as 2015 Camp GTBank begins

THE First Vice President of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi, has commended GT Bank Plc for being steadfast in support of the growth of youth sports.

Speaking in Lagos yesterday while unveiling the programme for fourth Camp GTBank, the Lagos State Football Association Chairman, said: “I am passionate about this programme and we at the NFF (Nigeria Football Federation) understand what this mean; it’s a big deal to us. I am proud of the organising committee and I must also commend the sponsor for its consistency.”

Akinwunmi, who is also the chairman of the Planning Committee of the GTBank Principals’ Cup, said, “this has been a difficult time, yet they continue with it”.

He promised to give N50, 000 each to the best-behaved male and female players at the end of the camp, adding, “This project is not about training the students alone, but about creating goals and making friends.”

Also speaking at the vent, Senior Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility, GTBank, Mrs. Oyinade Adegbite, revealed, “100 players were selected out of which 40 players were identified for this year’s edition, including 30 boys and 10 girls. Selection was based on the ability showed during selection process. We want them to dream and this is a platform for this opportunity. The coaches are there for them to achieve that.”
