WrestlingONE of Nigeria’s medals hopefuls in next year’s Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil and world bronze medalist in freestyle wrestling at the this year’s Senior World Wrestling Championships in Las Vegas, Odunayo Adekuoroye is set to travel to India tomorrow to participate in a Pro-Wrestling League.

The meet in India, according to the wrestler, will help her prepare for the challenges in Rio.

Adekuoroye was initially scheduled to travel yesterday with the National Wrestling team coach, Purity Akuh, but she could not secure the travelling visa from the Indian High Commission despite receiving travel tickets from the organisers in India.

An elated Adekuoroye disclosed that the visa has now been issued to them, adding, “We got the visas today and hopefully we will be travelling on Wednesday by God’s grace.”
