Solar energy manufacturers, distributors move to boost economy

In effort to strengthen industry and economic development in Nigeria, Oyo State Commissioner of Trade, Investment Industry and Cooperative, Otunba Ademola Ojo, has called on manufacturers and distributors of solar energy products in Nigeria to recognize and brace-up, particularly the modality of how they contribute towards provision of effective, adequate and qualitative electricity supply in the country.

 
Ojo, who is the special guest at the upcoming South west Mega Solar Energy Exhibition, while discussing the programme arrangement with the consultancy responsible for organising the event, Foresight Corporate Consult (subsidiary of Foresight Africa Development Foundation), made the call in Ibadan, Oyo State.
 
The upcoming specialist exhibition will hold at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, on Friday, 13 and Saturday, 14 September 2024, with the theme ‘Solar Energy Contributing to Advancing Economic Development’. .
     
The commissioner explained that the 2-day exhibition, promises to help Nigerians achieve success in their various endeavours, considering that the use of electricity has become an integral and compulsory phenomenon of life, in industry, and domestic activities.
    
The Head Consultant of the consulting firm, Ayodeji Michael Oshodi, said: “The exhibitors will be opportune to occupy a cubicle, the point where they can interact with their existing and prospective targets, including representatives from various segments of the economy, both private and government sectors.
 
“Each of the participating exhibitors and companies will get a time slot to make presentations, with PowerPoint facilities, to communicate the benefits and advantages of their solar products to a cross-section of users. The presentation time will also include question and answer session.”
