ShineTTW Named Apple Music’s Latest ‘Up Next’ Artiste

Apple Music has announced singer ShineTTW as its latest ‘Up Next’ artiste for Nigeria. This is a prestigious accolade that aims to shed light on emerging talents across the globe.

ShineTTW, born Chukwuma Chinaza Ferdinand, began his professional music career in 2018. His combination of Afropop and R&B has earned a coveted spot in the Up Next programme. The programme was established by Apple Music in 2017. They have previously shed a spotlight on other Nigerian artistes. Some are Tems, Rema, Burna Boy, Mr. Eazi, Wavy The Creator and Qing Madi.

A new chapter for ShineTTW

In his role as the latest Up Next Nigerian artiste, ShineTTW will feature on Apple Music’s specially curated playlist that highlights an array of different emerging talents. Apple Music’s global editors select these artistes.

Additionally, this milestone is a celebration of  ShineTTW’s journey in the music scene. It also builds anticipation for his upcoming debut project, The Chosen One. His fans are expecting to see him showcase unique visuals and a new sound.

In response to this grand recognition, ShineTTW made a celebratory post on his Instagram page with the caption, “Honoured to be Apple Music’s cover for the Up Next playlist for the month of June, featuring songs from some of the best & brightest new voices in music.

“This is a validation that my hard work isn’t going unnoticed and I’m honoured to be featured in such great company.”

ShineTTW’s upcoming album is expected to be released this year, although the release date is still under wraps. The album rollout will also include a documentary that offers fans an inner look at his artistic process and journey so far.

Since its first edition in 2017, Apple Music’s Up Next program has introduced many stars to a wider audience, helping them achieve international recognition. ShineTTW is now set to follow in the footsteps of the Up Next artistes that came before him.
