For members of the 33 Passing Out Platoon of the Nigerian Military School Zaria, it was a great reunion recently, as the group held its 25th Anniversary celebration in Lagos. The three-day event, which started on September 2, brought together members from different part of the world.

The all weekend event featured activities such as a welcome party, an All White Beach Party supported by JP Chenet Ice at POP Beach and Black-Tie Dinner at the Medici restaurant, which was chaired by Brig Gen Bossman, who taught these men thirty years ago, as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army.

Bossman, who gave positive messages to the gentlemen, also encouraged them to impact the Nation positively in their lives as nigerians.

As part of their contribution to their alma mater, the platoon raised a total sum if N1.5m to purchase 100 chairs and desks for students, as well as embarked on a ‘Book Drive’ to aid the newly refurbished school library.

There was also a Health & Business sessions moderated by Dr Chidi Molokwu, a UK-based medical Doctor and Mr Uyi Ogbeifun of Total Nigeria.

The weekend of fun and networking ended with an afternoon of Go Cart racing at the Lekki Get-Arena, before members began travelling back to their locations. It was truly a weekend of celebration, as some members, who had not seen each other in 25 years, had the opportunity to share fond memories. From military, medical practitioners, lawyers, accountants, engineers, entrepreneurs, successful businessmen…it was a gathering of achievers.
