Nollywood actor, Zack Orji, is Kalu Achebe in Awal Abdulfatai Rahmat’s new movie, Descent.

The movie, which opened in cinemas on December 22, is mixed with action and thrills.

Written by Bridget Phatudi and Rahmat and directed by Rahmat, the movie, which was produced by AQ Entertainment and McAwal Productions, follows the story of Kalu Achebe (Zack) and Andrew Morgan (Matt Stern), both underworld dons that would do anything and everything to protect their families.

They are tied to a twisted fate with Bongani Ndilovu (Phoenix Baaitse), a humble farmer who simply wishes to protect his legacy- a thirst for vengeance and power.

Shot in Johannesburg, South Africa, the movie features top continental and Hollywood actors, such as Stern, Tayo Faniran (first runner up Big Brother Africa), Benedict Sebastian, JT Medupe, Chibuzor Nwankwo, Palesa Medisakwane, Andrew Stock, Baaitse, Sheena Deeparian and Ahmmad Kawser.

Already, the movie, which bothers on the family, love, mother and child, as well as the consequences of narcotics and arms dealing, has won a Recognition Award for Best Picture International Trail (Fredrick, 2012) and also at the 2016 completed Special Movie Award (SMA) in the Republic of Gambia.

Director of the movie, Rahmat has vast experiences in the media business development, television content management and media marketing communication skills.

Rahmat said viewers would not be disappointed, saying the movie would deliver the action, thrills and twist of comedy viewers are not going to forget anytime soon.

PEFTI Cinema Opens With The Wedding Party 2
Residents of Ajao Estate and Isolo axis of Lagos don’t have to go too far to watch movies on the big screen, as PEFTI Film Institute has announced the launch of its PEFTI Cinema, which commenced showing last Wednesday, December 20 with the blockbuster, The Wedding Party 2.

Managing Director of PEFTI Film Institute, Abiola Adenuga, said the idea was to give residents of the Oshodi-Isolo axis the opportunity to experience the best local and international movies in a serene environment.

“With the PEFTI Cinema, we are providing solution to Lagosians, especially those in Oshodi-Isolo Council, who desire to experience the best Nigerian and international movies with their families in a serene environment and at an affordable rate.”

Located within the expansive premises of PEFTI Film Institute in Ajao Estate, the cinema comfortably seats 1,200 people in the fully air-conditioned hall and has ample parking space, with uniformed security personnel.
