The Elf Club House, Ikoyi, Lagos, recently played host to celebrities and stakeholders in the events industry, who gathered for the official launch of the BizzyBody mobile application.

Developed by young entrepreneurs Seun Ayeni, who had identified obvious gaps in the country’s events industry, the mobile app will help deal with challenges involved in planning events, as well as provide attendees with information on upcoming events across the country.

The multi-functional app, according to Ayeni, was inspired by his unending desire for solution to identified missing links in the events and entertainment industry where problems of getting ticket sold in a very transparent manner had become a source of worry to event owners and inability to access various venues of entertainment was already discouraging tourists and entertainment lovers.

Originally, the BizzyBody idea started as an event directory, but has now advanced to a full platform with chart room for guests to network, as well as provides events owners the opportunity to sell and monitor their tickets on the go.

“The app is supposed to be an events solution app. What we are claiming is that, with the BizzyBody app, you can be everywhere at every time. Everywhere in terms of planning, everywhere in terms of attending events… it has so much power to make you be everywhere.

“Once you register with us on this application and launch it from the comfort of your house, the app will automatically source for events happening within your area because your location would have been captured in our database during the registration stage, and you will just be left with the option of choosing which of the events you want to attend,” he said.

Aside from helping guests find events, the app also provides them the platform to network and have discussions around events.“One of the features of the app is, for instance, as I speak now, a chartroom would have been created on the app specifically for this event. So, anywhere you are in Nigeria and you want to interact with people in this event, you just go into that chartroom and you start to chart; you will see other people discussion the event.”

For events owners, who are interested in platforms to help them sell and monitor their tickets, then the BizzyBody app comes handy.“If it is a ticketed event, you can just buy the ticket right inside the app and the most amazing part of this is that you will get 5 per cent discount on all the tickets you buy on the app automatically and I can assure you that you can’t get this type of offer anywhere else or on any other platform except on Bizzybody,” Ayeni said.

Meanwhile, this app is accessible on the Google Play Store free, with no premium on any sections of the app and it is devoid of advertisements at the moment.

“This is basically an events solution app for the event owners and events attendees. We saw a big gap in the events industry; that gap in the value chain of how things are run from A to Z. Now, you see that an event planner has something in his hands at the click of a button to publish his event, promote his event, sell tickets and do registration; this app does all that,” he said.
