The Peter Okoye family of P-Square fame is in a mourning mood as they have lost their nanny, Esther Ngobor, who has been the family’s nanny for seven years. Weekend Beat gathered the late Esther passed away after years of battling with cervical cancer.

According to a post by Lola Omotayo-Okoye, who took to Instagram to share the shared the sad news and how the late Esther fought tirelessly to stay alive.

She wrote: “Today, we lost a very precious soul, Esther Ngobor. Esther started working with us almost seven years ago. She was a wonderful nanny to our son from when he was three months old. She was diagnosed with cervical cancer five years ago and she fought tirelessly to stay alive.

“When she was diagnosed, she was told she had a few months to live but she fought hard. Words cannot describe how incredible she was as an employee, sister and friend. My children loved her, we all loved her. Her smile and laughter would light up a room in a second. She was clever, witty and dedicated. She was most importantly God fearing and honest. Her biggest fear was dying. Oh Esther, I am so sorry,” she added.

Lola continued: “We tried everything within our power to give her the quality of life she deserved. We tried every possible treatment available but God knows best and we cannot question Him.”
