Following suspense-filled teasers that set the country talking and asking questions, the much hyped event, The Invasion, a cross-generational and non-denominational music-driven revival platform for young people, especially the millennials has been finally unveiled, and would hold live at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos on June 3.

Tagged, ‘a move of the Holy Spirit’, the concert is a spiritual movement that will engender a release of power by the Holy Ghost that causes people to excel in different spheres of life.

The event will see gospel singers including Nathaniel Bassey, Tope Alabi, Frank Edwards, Tim Godfrey, G-Force, and Eben among others come together to lead thousands of people in an explosive generational revival that would help activate life-defining, turning point session to bring about spiritual healing of the nation.

Speaking about the forthcoming event, the Pastor-in-charge, the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Region 20, Apapa Family, Pastor Idowu Iluyomade said, “Thousands of years ago, the scripture projects in Acts 2:17 that: “In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.

“We believe strongly that ‘the last days’ are here, and God is setting a whole new generation on fire for the work of the Kingdom. Indeed, that these are the days when the manifestation of the sons and daughters of God are to be evident in every sphere of influence – from Ministry, Media, Arts and Entertainment, and Politics; to Business, Culture, and Education,” he added.

Inspired by the Excel Platform of RCCG Apapa Family, Iluyomade, noted the concert would undoubtedly, herald the beginning of a new spiritual experience in Nigeria. For Eben, “My expectations for The Invasion is that young men and women would be inspired by everything we have put together for that day (June 3). That everyone in attendance would leave the arena at the end with a resolve to do more with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and their lives!”

“Transformation can only come by the renewing of minds (Romans 12:2), hence the presentations and every other activity. I trust God that every ministration on the night will carry God’s manifest power. No sound, no word or presentation would be void of impact; God is set and so are we to receive from Him an invasion!” he added.

On his part, Tim Godfrey, said, “I believe that God’s incredible and unconditional love, his bran new mercy rand, his immeasurable grace, will invade our lives on that day! Get ready for an explosive night, get ready to experience a night of a lifetime, get ready to be invaded, so that you also can invade.”
