Ahead of the maiden edition of Ajegunle to the world concert, LED Entertainment, organisers of the event, recently gave residents a piece of the iceberg with an exciting unveiling ceremony at the Abayomi Hall in Ajegunle. The event, which also featured a media briefing, aims at updating residents and the media on scope of the project.

According to the CEO of LGD entertainment John Enabudoso, the core focus of the project is to showcase success stories and celebrate the beauty and development in Ajegunle.

“This we would bring to life at the Ajegunle to the world benefit concert billed for September 10, at the Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island Lagos. People would get to see live in concert all the hit makers that strived before the age of social media to create what we now refer to as the music industry,” he said.

Meanwhile, the project goes beyond just showcasing talents of the old and new, as it aims to also expose the distinguished and multi-farious culture, ethnicity and people of Ajegunle that has played a major role in the development of the entertainment industry.

“This project would influence public involvement and also aid CSR in the development of Ajegunle, and at the same time, motivate the average youth in Ajegunle to shun crime and societal ills,” LGD Entertainment boss said.

It is worthy of note that the modern day music industry was built on the benchmark set by the Ajegunle artistes such as Daddy Showkey, who made ground breaking records in his prime and also exposed the popular dance known as Galala. Other stars made in Ajegunle include Daddy Fresh, Danfo Drivers, Basket Mouth, Don jazzy, KC Presh, Frank Idoho, Oritshefemi, Solid Star, Saheed Osupa, Gideon Okeke, Charles Okafor and J-pizzle. Others are Marvelous Benji, Pencil, OPJ, Elenu, Tony Nwakeme, Ada Ameh, Dickson Nwakeme, Zeb Ejiro, Ruth Kadiri, Dprince, E Money, Empero Geezy and Baba Fryo.
