Tribute to my love, my life- Susan Tosan Omagbemi

For thirty years of my life, you were there to see me grow from a young man to a matured, full- grown personality. I was convinced that you were the one chosen for me by God Almighty, a similar conviction which you also had. No wonder you never hid your preference and love for me.

For thirty years of my life, you were there to see me grow from a young man to a matured, full- grown personality. I was convinced that you were the one chosen for me by God Almighty, a similar conviction which you also had. No wonder you never hid your preference and love for me.

You secretly and openly showed me that you loved all concerning and associated with me. I was your King and you my Queen. I could sense your zeal and interest in ensuring that our family flourished, prospered and had a very good home where love, warmth and happiness was not lacking.

‘Ekoshe’, as I sometimes call you, God gave you a beautiful and motherly aura which you put at our disposal and were not selfish with. You took very emotional interest in our affairs and anytime I came home, I beheld the radiation of your motherly charisma and beauty and always felt blessed and lucky.

When you served our meals, you served them like we were royalty. I trust that you still understand that the most valuable thing we all cherished was when we were home together with all the children. We felt like billionaires. The chemistry between us was supernatural, no wonder when we had infrequent quarrels and squabbles- no parent, child, sibling, friend or neighbour settled it for us. Not even our Pastors knew about them. It was like God was always present to sort things out for us.

I am convinced that it was the Almighty God that called you home, because I know you would have preferred to remain here performing your motherly callings than to be somewhere else.  By your sudden exit on Saturday, December 16, 2017, I now agree that life is ephemeral and empty, I surrender to the Will of the Most High God.

I have decided that you be interred at our Warri home so your frame can still be here with us even though your flesh may rot.Sleep on my darling wife till we meet on the resurrection morning.
Your Husband,Barr. Richmond Omagbemi
