As preparations for this year edition of Nigeria Carnival in the US reach a crescendo, the exhibition, put together by the organisers of the event held last Saturday at Freedom Park on Hospital Road, Victoria Island, Lagos, has assured that this year event, the second edition of the programme, would no doubt be a masterpiece, according to Chairman of TKY Global Investment, Thomas Akinkuebi, the brain behind the event.

The US-based Thomas, who came to personally witnessed the exhibition, put together by the Nigeria group of organisers, while addressing the participants, said: “It is our best interest to acquaint Nigerians with the contents and modalities of this intent-tailored event aimed at promoting our rich heritage.

“The carnival is an effective cultural and diplomatic tool, which content, design and programmes, parade dynamic and unique elements to inform, inspire, integrate, educate, empower and equally fashioned to facilitate relationship building and unification of cultures for Nigerians in the Diaspora.”

Thomas is also expected to tour some establishments and visit states government in the country for partnership and support for the carnival slated for July 25 to 31 in Maryland.

The exhibition was witnessed by entrepreneurs, investors, cultural and traditional performances, who displayed food and drinks, arts and craft displayed at the event, while members of the diplomatic corps from various embassies were also in attendance.
