Tagged, Itel Red valentine, the mobile technology giant hosted its fans and customers at the cinema as they watched the movie titled: “Den of Thieves”, a 2018 American heist film written, directed and produced by Christian Gudegast. It stars Gerard Butler, 50 Cent, Pablo Schreiber, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Evan Jones, Dawn Olivieri, Mo McRae and Max Holloway. In the story, an elite group of County Sheriff Deputies looks to stop a gang of thieves planning to rob the Federal Reserve in Los Angeles.

All the fans were also rewarded with different itel branded gifts as well as a raffle draw that saw a lucky fan, Anyawu Gift, win the latest itel smartphone model, S32.

Speaking at the event, the Marketing Manager, Itel Nigeria, Marvin Umebiye said the idea is to meet and celebrate its loyal fans and customers as well as spread the season of love to them.

“We are at the cinema with our fans, just trying to see how we can spread this season of love, so we thought of why don’t we all just share the season together, get to meet ourselves and have a nice time, as well as rewarding our passionate and loyal fans,” he said.

He added that itel is a brand that understands and caters for the basic needs of people, as it provides affordable smart, android phones in the Nigerian mobile market to meet customers demand.

Also speaking on the criteria for selecting the attendees, the Marketing Communications Manager, itel Mobile, Oke Umurhowo said the brand engaged Nigerians in an online campaign through its social media handles that had series of valentine questions and quiz answered.

He said the winners were selected and given a ticket for two. “So everybody here actually won a ticket for two, some are here with their boyfriends, girlfriends, or best friends, it’s just to share the love we have this year.”

Oke noted that, as a people’s brand, with knowledge on the current economic situation of the African mobile market, “we also know that people want affordable phones that are trending and we have series of phones designed for the Nigerian market, such as the Power series, which withstands the situation of power supply in the country, lasting up to three to four days and also the selfie series, S32 for the youths who want something trending and reliable but can afford expensive phones.”

He, however, stressed that itel mobile will continue to provide quality and affordable phones to meet Nigerians financial needs as well as extend love and support to them.
