Very few monarchs are known for their humility. More often than not, they are driven by the power they wield. After all, they are the closest to the gods, and who dares to question them.

This was the supposed attitude with which the Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi, assumed his current office. Young, vibrant and suave, the dark-complexioned monarch knew the kind of power he wields. However, times are changing and he has found a new kind of humility.

In recent times, he has been faced with situations many monarchs would have reacted brashly to, but not Oba Ogunwusi, as he has been handling controversial issues wisely.
