Immediately Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello was sworn in, his wife, Rashidat, swung into action to fulfill her aspiration of impacting on the people.

Using her background as a lawyer and her career experience as leverage, she got down to work and soon launched the Kogi Women and Youthful Advancement Foundation (KOWAF), targeted at bringing hope to the people. And almost two years, she has got residents of the North Central state smiling again.

She has also extended her caring gesture by facilitating the equipping of health facilities in the three senatorial districts of the state, just to mention a few of her exemplary gestures.

Her efforts are not going unnoticed, as she has been recognised and honoured by individuals and organisations in the state and across the country.
