The palatial home of Otunba Mike Adenuga, the billionaire Chairman of Globacom, in Banana Island Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos, was last Saturday besieged by all hues in the social and political circles for Oyin Adenuga’s private engagement ceremony.

Adenuga, who is known to do his things in a big way, made sure the party was a very private one and strictly meant for the super rich, with the presence of security details around the venue in Ikoyi.

The wedding was kept secret and only came to limelight when Emilia’s make-up artist, Banke Meshida-Lawal, shared photos of her work on the bride’s face on her Instagram page.

The bride looked stunning in royal blue attire was enhanced by silver accessories, such as earrings, neckpiece and a clutch purse.Earlier before the wedding pictures hit the social media, it was like all and sundry were sworn to keep the whole thing very quiet. And we can tell you categorically that many who normally should know didn’t know about the event and were actually also not invited.

Those who were lucky enough to attend the engagement were told and not to take pictures of any kind, except maybe themselves. The colours for the engagement were “cobalt blue and emerald green gele” (head tie) for women and same colour of cap for men. Aso-ebi was said to have been for about ₦60,000 only.

The white wedding was also a strict, upscale black-tie event. Just like security was top notched for the engagement, that of the white weeding was also something to behold.

The lucky groom is Adeolu Abayomi Olufeko, who is not a pushover by any standards. In fact, the Nigerian-American, known as a digital strategist and artist, is an acknowledged guru at what he does, an expert and authority in Graphics, has done quite well for himself.

He attended Minnesota State University in Saint Paul, United States, where he studied Computer Science, specialising in Multimedia. Before relocating to the US in the 90s, he once lived his formative years in Surulere, Lagos. At some point, he was commissioned for design works by top celebrities abroad and pioneered the first social media website for St. Gregory’s College, Obalende, which assisted alumni to connect globally.
