D’banj confirms rumour, announces new album, ‘King Don Come’

No long thing crooner, Dapo Oyebanjo Daniel well known as D’banj has announced he will be releasing a new album titled, King Don Come. This is following speculations that he would be dropping a new project.

The album from tracklist will contain 10 tracks with collaborations from Harrysong, Wande Coal, and a few unnamed acts. It contains single Emergency, and a reworked version of Focus named as Turn down for what.

There have been rumours around town that the koko master as the singer is also known is set to release a new album, which he has now confirmed. In a post on Instagram, the Mobolowon singer uploaded a photo of the handwritten tracklist, which he signed at the bottom.

The album from tracklist will contain 10 tracks with collaborations from Harrysong, Wande Coal, and a few unnamed acts. It contains single Emergency, and a reworked version of Focus named as Turn down for what.

Interestingly, his 2012 hit single, Oliver Twist makes the list, so also does the 2013 highly successful Top of the world hit single, which was performed at the closing ceremony of the 2013 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The new project will be D’banj’s fourth solo studio album. It follows an impressive and highly successfully discography, which include No Long Thing (2005), RunDown Funk U Up (2006), and The Entertainer (2008). It will be released this June.

Regarded as one of Africa’s greatest pop stars, D’banj has over the years combined music with entrepreneurial ventures. The singer recently welcomed a son with his wife Lineo Didi Kilgrow, whom he named Daniel III

D’banj shared via his Instagram page on June 6, a photo that sees Daniel in his mother’s hands. He launched an Instagram account for him on the day he announced his arrival.
