Prince Adegboyega Ologbenla
Prince Rufus Adegboyega Ologbenla was born into the Ologbenla family of the Giesi Royal House of Ile-Ife on the 17th of July 1958, in Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria. His father was Late Joseph Oladipupo Ologbenla of Agbedegbede, Moore, Ile-Ife and Late Madam Victoria Ijadula Ologbenla of Obalaye family from Iremo Quarters, Ile-Ife.
He attended St. Lao’s Catholic Primary School and Ilobu Grammar School, Ilobu, Ibadan, Oyo State. After his secondary school education in 1978, he worked with the Cooperative Bank Ltd., Ibadan as an Accountant.
Ologbenla later studied Immigration Service at the Metropolitan University, London. He later graduated with a B.Sc degree in Banking and Finance. He was also at the Broadway College of Banking, London.
As a man of diverse working experience, Prince Ologbenla was in charge of finance at the London Borough of Lambert Social Service. He was at a time, the Contract Manager at the British Red Cross, London. In addition to this, he was also the Finance officer at the Dimensions UK Limited in London.
As if he was never done, Prince Ologbenla went into personal business venture and recorded huge success. He is the director of many companies both in the UK and in Nigeria. His business in Nigeria revolves round Security, Real estate and Legal practice.
Prince Rufus Adegboyega Adelugba Ologbenla is a member of several professional bodies including Nigeria Institute of Bankers and London Institute of Bankers, among others.
He was at a time, the Financial Sectary to Osun State Union, UK and Ireland. He was also the Financial Secretary to Ife Descendant Union, UK and Ireland. He was the immediate past President Ife Club 20, UK and Ireland and a Member of Oduduwa Movement, United Kingdom.
Back home, the Prince has given scholarship opportunities to many indigenes of Ile-Ife, beneficiaries. The amiable Prince has also donated educational materials to several secondary schools in Ile-Ife such as Oduduwa College, Ile-Ife, St. David’s Grammar School, Ile-Ife, St. John’s High School, Ile-Ife and others.
