Charles Inojie, Okey Bakassi storm FESTAC Town for Laffter Carnival
Popular Nollywood actor, writer and director, Charles Inojie, would headline this year’s edition of Laffter Carnival Comedy, holding on October 7 at the Holy Family Event Centre, Festac Town in Lagos.
The actor of Na Dem Dey Rush Us fame would be joined by other notable screen and stand up comedy personalities, such as Okey Bakassi and Ada Ameh, to light up the event, which, according to the organisers, Matt Visions Events and Entertainment, aims at creating a platform for talented entertainers to be empowered and motivated.
Head of Affairs of Matt Visions, Ocheme Joseph, hinted that the show, which primarily focuses on creating platforms for self-realisation and actualisation, would also feature upcoming and talented comedians, including Babah Kay, Short Family, Ibro Lee, as well as a legendary appearance by African China and Faze.
Scheduled to begin at 2pm, the 2017 edition, which held at the same venue, had celebrities, such as Steve Onu (aka Yaw) and Ada Ameh in attendance. ‘“It is all about youth empowerment and enriching lives by bringing smiles and happiness to people.“We hope to continue to pursue that vision,” Ocheme enthused.
