Solar, Oliver De Coque’s Son, Set To Step into His Father’s Shoes

THE son of the late Highlife king, Oliver De Coque, Mr. Akanite Oliver Sunday Jnr, popularly known as Solar De Coque, is set to quench the thirst of his late father's fans with his extraordinary music talents.

Solar De Coque’s love for music started in his early age when he followed his father to recording studios and shows.

 

Solar followed his father for several years before he left Nigeria for Europe to acquire more knowledge about the music industry.

Since then, he has been on the move performing at music festivals, cultural shows and events. Now, he is ready to take highlife music to the next level.

In a chat with Weekend Beats, the Marketing Manager, Mr. Christian Okoro revealed that solar, in collaboration with numerous artistes from Europe, would be launching his first album tagged ‘Jah Know Them’ on December 27, 2009 at All Seasons Hotel, Owerri. The show, he said, promises to be an exciting one.
