AIT Editor, Victor Awogu’s Coronation Set For December 28

Victor-Awogu-CopyALL roads lead to Ossomala Kingdom in Ogbaru Council, Anambra State on December 28 for the much- anticipated coronation of Victor Chukwuemeka Awogu, as he becomes the traditional ruler of the community.

The ace media guru was presented a Certificate of Recognition and other paraphernalia of office in June by an aide of Governor Willy Obiano.

Awogu, a veteran journalist and a senior editor with African Independent Television (AIT), would become the traditional ruler of Ossomala Kingdom and would oversee to the affairs of about nine villages that make up the ancient kingdom.

The frenzy is already in the air in the community, as a committee of friends has been put in place to ensure a successful milestone at which top dignitaries from far and near would converge to honor Awogu.

Members of the committee include Otunba Segun Runsewe, former chairman of NTTDC (chairman); Tony Akiotu, GMD AIT; Imoni Amarere; Odafe Uthihiwa; Kelly Elisha; Gbenga Aruleba, among others.

Awogu is a former Executive Director of Daily Times and member of the prestigious Ikoyi Club, Lagos.

He served as Managing Editor of the New Nigeria Newspaper (Southern Edition) and general manager of a number of companies.

He is happily married to Patricia with lovely children.
