Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) have pledged support for the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, and his running mate, Ifeanyi Okowa, because they have demonstrated love, care and welfare of PWDs, as exemplified by having PWDs in the party’s Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).

At the meeting attended by a member of the Zamfara State House of Assembly/ National Director, PDP PCC, PWDs, Salihu Usman Zurmi, the National Women’s Coordinator, Mrs. Angelina Ugben; a coordinator, Ndubusi Opara among others, they maintained that the “recognition given to PWDs by the party suggests that if Atiku eventually emerged, his administration at the centre would mainstream PWDs in leadership, including giving them the right to quality education.”

Zurmi, a PWD, urged political leaders to enact laws that would better the lots of those living with disabilities.

In his message, Imo State PDP Chairman, Charles Ugwu, said that the Atiku/Okowa ticket would launch Nigeria back into greatness, the reason Nigerians should support them.
