Taraba urges FG to refund N30b spent on roads

Taraba Government has appealed to the Federal authorities to fastrack the refund of over N30 billion expended on construction of roads in the state.

Taraba Government has appealed to the Federal authorities to fastrack the refund of over N30 billion expended on construction of roads in the state.

Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku made the appeal to the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo during the commissioning of a multi billion naira Green House project situated in Jalingo, the state capital.

Other projects commissioned by him as observed by The Guardian, includes the Jalingo Primary Water Supply Project and the 6.5 kilometers Jalingo-Kona road also executed by Ishaku.

The Vice President who was received on arrival by Ishaku and top government functionaries said he was deeply impressed with the level of development in the state, said the government would partner with the state government in exploring special initiatives of the government that are beneficial to Nigerians.

Emphasize agriculture as the only way forward for Nigeria, he beckoned on the people of the state and the country at large to remain relentless as the federal government was completely behind them to give them the much needed supports.On his own part, Ishaku noted that the water project would no doubt reduce the cases of water born decease and provide jobs to thousands of youths in the state.
