Towards easing transportation problems in the rural communities, Nasarawa State government has announced plans to construct a N500 million bridges and culverts across the state.

Governor Tanko Al-makura disclosed this yesterday after inspecting the Lafia-Ashinge-Fadama-Bauma road.

He said construction and reconstruction of roads across the state had been the centre focus of his administration, considering the plight faced by some communities during rainy season.

According to him, roads linking communities in Lafia East and Lafia North federal constituencies faced great challenges during the period that is why his administration is committed towards solving the problem.

He also reiterated his government commitment towards transforming rural communities through the provision of electricity, roads and potable drinking water.
The governor who expressed confidence in Triacta, the Engineering firm handling the project said the have the manpower and equipments to meet up the 2 months target.
