Lagos completes 11-storey Isale Gangan towers, gardens

Renewed efforts to increase the housing stocks in Lagos area have received a boost with the recent completion of the 11-floor Isale Gangan Towers and Gardens Luxury apartment.

The project by the Lagos State Government Lagos State Urban Renewal Agency (LASURA) is located in the heart of Lagos Island and bounded by three street namely, Isale Gangan, Isale Agbede and Binuyo. The Towers is the phase one of redevelopment project for Isale Gangan, which effectively took off in August 2009 when a contract was signed with 12 families to release their plots of land for the development of an 11-floor building.

The three streets are directly linked with one another and also linked to Idumagbo Avenue, which flows into the popular Nnamdi Azikwe Street and Adeniji Adele road.

The gardens boost of a total land space of approximately 2311.55 square meters obtained through land pooling by the 12 families. Earlier, the state gave the families’ temporary relocation, paid compensation for unexhausted improvement on their land and to resettle them back into parts of the new development, which consist of 48 units of condominium.

The affected families were given offer of two bed room condo/each sequel unit to the acquisition, revocation and re-development of the scheme phase one, being the families who pooled land together to give way to the 11-storey structure.

Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Urban Development Mrs. Yetunde Onabule disclosed that Lagos State Government through LASURA has paid N28, 350,000.00 up to date as rents to all the affected families since inception of the project.

The State Government has also approved the sum of N360, 800,000.00 to be paid to all the families as compensation for their right of occupancy in respect of their properties, which were revoked, for the project.

The General Manger Lagos State Urban Renewal Agency (LASURA), Lateef Sholebo stated that the Luxury apartment is a beautiful finished development with intelligent designs that meets aesthetics to give a Luxurious sturdy structure; the ownership title is 99 years lease guaranteed.

Under the scheme, three bedrooms flat are being offered for sale at N50 million while two bedrooms goes for N38 million. Amenities in the garden include four 120 litres overhead tanks, three industrial Boreholes, water treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, combined 2000 KVA Generator, water sprinkles, all rooms en suite, fitted kitchens, aluminum casement windows, 16 and 23 passengers elevators, car parks, community facilities, facilities management and transferable titles among others.
