FUNAI alumni canvasses greener, cleaner environment

The pioneer graduates of Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo (FUNAI) are drumming up support for the vision of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Chindeum Nwajiuba, to enthrone a greener, cleaner and serene environment in the university.

This campaign came to the fore recently when the pioneer president of the FUNAI Alumni Association, Mr. Victor Obasi Ngwoke, led other members of the group to present and install 25 pieces of waste collection devices across the University campus.

Mr. Ngwoke, while presenting the waste collection bins to the Vice Chancellor during the institution’s management meeting. harped on the importance of instilling a culture of cleanliness and greener environment among staff and students of the University.

The pioneer president further pledged to be worthy ambassadors.

The Vice-Chancellor, in his response expressed the conviction of his administration in taking the university to greater heights, stressing that he is at the institution to build and mould students who would excel in the 21st-century economy.

Prof. Nwajiuba further thanked them for joining hands with the university management to re-position the school as a top player in the education sector of the country and beyond.
