Global enterprise with core competencies in the fields of health care and agriculture, Bayer has showcased its commitment to supporting environmental cleanliness and safety by assisting in the clearing of blocked drains, cleaning walkways, and advocating for cleanliness.

The company hosted its annual community service day at the Alimosho Central Market in Lagos and donated cleaning and waste disposal facilities. It partnered with Environmental Science division of Bayer Middle Africa Limited and the Environmental Service Department of Alimosho Local Government area.

“We look forward to this service day all year,” said Ubong Donald, Head of Environmental Science division of Bayer Middle Africa Limited in Nigeria, a subsidiary of Bayer.

“Our team has a history of partnering with local organizations to offer service opportunities and projects that support sustainable agriculture and environmental practices in the community. Without clean environments, diseases and accidents will abound. Providing healthy environments and clean duck-drains are paramount.”

“With Bayer’s help, over the course of only one day, we created a cleaner environment where the public can live, buy and sell,” said Mrs. Adedipe Abimbola Adebimpe, Head of the Environmental Services Department of Alimosho Local Government Area. “It’s an incredible opportunity for community. We are thrilled that Bayer shares our goal of helping educate others on the importance of clean communities and safer environments.”
