The Bayelsa State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said it would resist any attempt by anti-democratic forces trying to hijack party structure in the state and impose candidates of their choice.

Arising from its State Executive Committee (SEC) meeting, yesterday, in Yenagoa, the state party Chairman, Cleopas Moses, said they would never allow political jobbers and miscreants to take over the party.

The party expressed appreciation to its National Chairman, Sen. Ahmed Makarfi, for not dissolving the state party executive, despite attempts by some elements, who pushed for its dissolution.
