Seek more investment in education
Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State has urged Nigerians to rededicate themselves to making the nation one of the greatest on Earth.

This, he said, could be achieved through more investment in education and striving to secure a bright future for Nigerian children.

Also, Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar has cautioned against misguided hate-speeches and violent agitation that may result to needless carnage in the country.

He urged Nigerians to remain united, live peacefully and shun all tendencies capable of plunging the nation into chaos and anarchy.

In a statement yesterday in Sokoto by his spokesman, Malam Imam Imam, Tambuwal said investment in education and technology would be worthy legacy to be bequeathed to the children of Nigeria.

Ganduje, in his goodwill message signed by Commissioner for Information, Youth and Culture, Muhammad Garba, wants Nigerians to be mindful of the immense sacrifices of the nation’s fore-fathers who fought for the independence of the country.

The governor, who urged Nigerians to embrace dialogue and avail themselves with constitutional avenues to present their grievances with decorum and civility for amicable resolution, appealed to all to hold the unity and oneness of Nigeria sacrosanct for the interest of the present and future generations.

Also, Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has said that the nation must live above ethnic, religious and tribal sentiment to achieve its potential and growth.

He called on all Nigerians to isolate political leaders who are fanning embers of disunity in the country.

El-Rufai stated this in a message to celebrate the nation’s 57th Independence anniversary in Kaduna yesterday.
