Abia State governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) gubernatorial candidate in the 2015 general election in Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, has declared his intention to re-contest against the incumbent, Okezie Ikpeazu in 2019.Otti, who made the declaration, yesterday, said he was re-contesting to enable him rescue the state from the “pharaohs and touts” ruling the state with propaganda, in order to move it forward.

“I shall rescue Abia workers and pensioners from their unpaid arrears, which stands at 10 to 16 months. It is a crime against humanity not to pay somebody that has worked for you. It is also sad not to use the state resources for its development.”

While alleging that the state has not developed at the expected rate, the former National Chairman of APGA, Chief Victor Umeh urged the electorate to vote massively for Otti and the party. He said “ If you elect an APGA governor like Alex Otti, Abia State will become the second state ruled by APGA and immediately after begin to see speedy and even development as the case in Anambra State.”
