Imo State governor’s son in-law, Chief Uche Nwosu, at the weekend, replied critics of his governorship endorsement.Nwosu, who is the Chief of Staff, Government House, told journalists he was not obliged to allow his father in-law and governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha, dictate his political direction.

Meanwhile, executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have endorsed Nwosu in 24 local councils.Nwosu, who was the former state Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Urban Development, said those that endorsed him based their action on the fact that he had been part of the urban and massive infrastructural development in the state.

He challenged governorship aspirants in the state to discuss their plans and programmes for the people, rather than blackmail him for being an in-law to the governor. He said the state needs people that can inspire and encourage innovation and vision.
