Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode

A group in the Lagos State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC), under the auspices of Somolu Progressives Youth Forum (SPYF), has urged the electorate to reelect President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Akinwunmi Ambode for second term.

Speaking during a fence-mending meeting in Lagos, SPYF leader, Folahan Kaiyewu, said it was imperative for the youths to back President Buhari and the incumbent governor based on their achievements, adding the second term would enable them complete the good work they started.

Folahan said, “The anti-corruption crusade of the government has brought caution among public officers. The administration is also working relentlessly to diversify the economy with the aim to creating new opportunities for national wealth instead of total reliance on oil.

“In the last 16 years, things have gone wrong except people don’t understand the what Buhari has done; otherwise they would appreciate why his administration should complete what he started.”

He also commended Ambode for turning Lagos into a big construction site since 2015, noting that the younger generation stands to benefit immensely from ‘Not Too Young to Run Bill’ recently signed into law by Buhari.

He said Ambode has successfully built on the achievements of his predecessors and taken Lagos revenue generation to a great height, stressing: “If the present administration is reelected the state would be better for it.”

On the crisis that trailed the last APC ward, local government and state congresses, particularly in Somolu, Folahan implored unhappy members to sheathe their swords in the collective interest of the party.
