PDP committee adjourns screening as more aspirants step down for Ighodalo

The Edo Central PDP Special Committee has adjourned the screening of the governorship aspirants from the Senatorial zone scheduled to Wednesday January 10, 2024.

It was one of the significant decisions the committee took, yesterday, in its meeting, held on Saturday at Igueben residence of one of the party’s national leader, High Chief Tom Ikimi.


Aspirants present include, Anselm Ojiezua, Senator Clifford Ordia, John Yakubu, Amb Martins Uhomoibhi and Asue Ighodalo.

In his opening remarks, the Chairman of the Special Committee, Ikimi thanked the aspirants for their commitments to the overall interest of the party and the Esan people.

He read a letter addressed to the committee by one of the aspirants, Marcus Onobun, informing them that he has suspended his aspiration and align with Asue Ighodalo.

Before yesterday, two leading aspirants of the party, Friday Itulah and Kenneth Ahbulimen had during the week stepped down, declaring support for Ighodalo.
