Who should we pray for?

By EDITOR   |   21 December 2009   |   5:41 pm

Such visits to the hospital caused much concern as his present visit to his doctors in Jeddah. This has called for prayers for him from different quarters especially those benefiting one way or the other from him including senators, governors, pastors etc. In as much as I wish the president quick recovery, I do not subscribe to those holding a night vigil for his sake. Who should we actually pray for? Is it the Nigerian with enough money to treat himself abroad or the hapless Nigerian in a hospital here that can’t afford to foot his/her bills?

The president has not even personally asked for prayers, so if anybody is so willing to hold prayer sessions for any Nigerian, it should be for the helpless people in various hospitals in Nigeria who cannot afford their bills or travel abroad for treatment.
