Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s bid for the governorship ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the November 2024 election received a boost with yet another endorsement from an APC chieftain, Otunba Mustapha Lusty.
Lusty’s support for the governor came ahead of the party’s primary election scheduled for April 25. Describing Aiyedatiwa’s choice as the collective voice of the people of Ondo State, Lusty explained that his backing of the governor’s bid followed wide and meticulous consultations across the state.
“My endorsement is informed by Mr Governor’s unwavering commitment to promoting transparency, ethical leadership, good governance and community well-being within the APC and the good people of Ondo State.
“Aiyedatiwa is a substantial asset. His exceptional track record and dedication to our party’s values make him the ideal candidate to lead Ondo State forward,” he said.
He added that the majority of leaders of the APC in Ondo State have endorsed Aiyedatiwa as their preferred aspirant in the April 25 governorship primary election in the state.
According to Lusty, Aiyedatiwa has earned the trust of party faithful with the way he has improved the welfare of workers by ensuring timely salaries and pension payments and empowering the workforce.
“His impact in infrastructure development, investment in education, collaboration with traditional and community leaders, and commitment to good governance are unparalleled.
“These are some of his major achievements within the short period he has spent in office as the governor. And the people of Ondo State are simply proud of him,” Lusty said
