Okoh tasks govt on war against Boko Haram

THE Primate of All Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Most Rev Nicholas Okoh, has called on the Federal Government to intensify efforts in the fight against Boko Haram insurgency, warning that if the terror group is left unchecked, it could affiliate with international terrorist organisations.

Speaking when he visited the Gwoza/Bama IPD camp in Durumi, Abuja, where the church donated food items, wrappers and beverages worth over N2.5 million, Okoh urged government to move faster and prosecute the war in order to bring an end to the wanton loss of lives and property in the country.

He said, “We want government to move faster and prosecute the war. The earlier we overrun the group, the better. We know that government is trying to settle down, but people are dying, it requires that speed be introduced so that the battle is put behind us.”
