Ogun promises to rescue abducted OOU students unhurt

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has directed security agencies to fish out abductors of two students of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Aiyetoro Campus and ensure the victims come out unhurt.

A statement by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Kunle Somorin, described the abduction as unfortunate.

Somorin said the state government and security forces were working on the situation and collaborating with relevant people to ensure the victims’ safe return.

“The incident is most unfortunate. The government is beefing up security in the state. We just sent logistic and technical support to the joint security intervention squad in that local council. Amotekun team will soon join them.

“While we sympathise with parents, relations and the university community, we want to assure that the students will be rescued unhurt,” the statement said.
