Obasanjo hails Air Peace after Lagos-London flight

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has described his experience flying Air Peace from Lagos to London as pleasant.

Obasanjo remarked during a chat with the daughter of the Chief Executive Officer of the airline, Nnenna Onyema, during his trip.

In a viral video posted by Air Peace on its X page yesterday, the former President was seen shaking and complimenting Nnenna over the airline’s services.

He said: “Tell your father that I went and came back and I didn’t complain.

“I went and it was pleasant. I came back, it was even more pleasant.”

Meanwhile, the airline has expressed gratitude to the former President for his patronage.

It wrote: “It was great having the former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, on our Lagos-London and London-Lagos flights recently. He said ‘I went, it was pleasant. I came back, it was even more pleasant.’ Thank you for flying with us, Your Excellency.”

In November, Air Peace’s Chairman and CEO, Allen Onyema, announced that the airline had successfully obtained the Foreign Carrier Operator Permit and Third Country Operator Permit.

In February 2024, the Nigerian airline disclosed plans to begin direct flight operations to London on March 30.
