Yari presents N20b supplementary budget
ZAMFARA State Governor Abdul’aziz Yari Abubakar, has presented a supplementary budget of N20 billion before the state House of Assembly for legislative approval.
Presenting the bill on the floor of the Assembly, Yari said the presentation of the supplementary budget was informed by the economic crunch being experienced by the state and the need to restrategise the financial expenditure to accommodate the present realities.
The governor who was represented by the State Secretary to the State Government, Professor Abdullahi Muhammad Shinkafi, expressed appreciation with the existing cordial relationship between the executive and legislative arm of government in the state.
He said the government is committed to executing developmental projects across the state in accordance with the election campaign promises through consolidation of achievements recorded during the first tenure of the incumbent government.
Responding, Speaker of the Assembly, Sanusi Garba Rikiji, expressed the readiness of the state lawmakers to support any bill meant to bring positive development to the state.
