Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, yesterday urged Nigerians to disregard posters being mounted in parts of Abuja announcing his alleged vice presidential ambition.Wike said the posters were pasted in the nation’s capital by a faceless group, which he also described as mischief makers.

The governor through his special Assistant on Electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu, said the posters emanated from political mischief makers who forgot in a hurry that nobody runs for the office of vice president of the country.

The attention of the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has been drawn to the circulation of fake vice presidential posters by political mischief-makers. “We urge Nigerians to disregard the posters, as they have no link with the Rivers State Governor. Nobody runs for the office of the Vice President”

The governor has the mandate of the good people of Rivers State and he is focused on delivering quality projects and programmes for the people.Wike will not be distracted by the antics of misguided politicians, who want to mislead Nigerians,” Nwakaudu said in a statement.
