Warri refinery to hit full capacity November

THE Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has commenced arrangements to bring the Warri Refinery back to full capacity in the next 90 days.

THE Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has commenced arrangements to bring the Warri Refinery back to full capacity in the next 90 days.

This was in conformity with the new deadline order by the Group Managing Director of the Corporation, Ibe Kachikwu.

Kachikwu had directed the management of the Warri Refining and Petrochemicals Company (WRPC) to ensure that the facility commence full production at about 125, 000 barrels of crude oil per day (bpd) within the stipulated period.

Speaking at the end of facility tour of the refinery and the adjoining Pipelines and Products Marketing Company, (PPMC), Jetty and Depot in Warri, Delta State, Kachikwu said he was ready to provide the management of the facility necessary support to enable them meet the target.

“So, whatever you need to do to get your refinery back on track please do it now because this is the time. It is a 90-day Fast-Track programme and whatever you need me to do to make that happen, let me know,’’ he stated.
