US Team Trains Medical Workers On Emergency Response In C’River

doctorTO strengthen the health system of Cross River State in emergency medicine, a team of Emergency Medicine Technicians (EMT) from United States of America has trained 40 health workers in the state.
 
The three weeks health-training course, which was the first in the state, was a volunteer-driven work led by Mr Nicholas Maxwell and Ms. Jessica Bedi.  
 
Speaking after a public demonstration from a team of emergency response at the busy Marian by IBB in Calabar, The State Governor, Prof. Ben Ayade, assured the organisation of the state government’s support in fulfilling the vision of safety in the state.The State Secretary to the Governor, Mrs.Tina Agbor, represented the Governor.

Bedi said responding to emergency medicine would give the profession a new face in Nigeria, even as she tasked medical workers to put in their best.
 She charged the newly trained EMTs to share with others what they had learnt from the training.
