The University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), with support from Abbott Nigeria Limited has installed  two state of the art machines, Architect i1000SR and Architect c4000 to provide quality medical laboratory services at the hospital.

The chief medical director of UBTH, Prof. Michael Ibadin, who took delivery of the  machines, while speaking at the commissioning of the laboratory equipment Architect i1000SR and Architect c4000 installed by Abbott Nigeria, appealed to the hospital laboratory scientists to ensure that the machines is well utilized for the purpose it was acquired.

Ibadin, who expressed confidence in the hospital determination to provide quality healthcare services through the installation of modern and world class standard facilities, said the hospital management has placed order on regent and other materials to be used on the machine worth over N10 million.

General Manager,Abbott Nigeria, Mishra Anindya stressed the need for moderate temperature for the effective working of the equipment and promised to provide professional round the clock assistance in the service and maintenance of the machines.
