MEN of the Lagos State Task Force on Environmental and Special Offences Unit yesterday came under attack in Oshodi and Ojo areas of the state during law enforcement activities.

Meanwhile, more than 64 miscreants were yesterday arrested by task force enforcement operations at Oko-Mala, a popular miscreants hideout in Oshodi. The miscreants were said to be “terrorists” disturbing the peace of Oshodi and its environs.

A paramilitary officer attached to the task force, Silas Akude, was a victim of acid bath at Oshodi-Oke during an operation against street trading. According to the information unit of the task force, Akude was targeted by hoodlums, who came in a Volkswagen commercial bus.

It was gathered that Akude was immediately taken to the Lagos State Emergency Centre, Tollgate, before being referred to Lagos General Hospital, Gbagada.
