Speaker assures Benue of quality health care
THE Speaker of Benue State House of Assembly, Mr. Terkimbi Ikyange, has assured the people of the state of quality legislation that could enhance quality healthcare delivery in the state.
Ikyange stated that the assembly through its legislation and oversight functions would ensure that health providers in the state deliver effective, efficient and timely services to the people, stressing that a healthy nation is a wealthy one.
The Speaker made the declaration when the State Commissioner for Health, Mrs. Cecilia Ojabo, the Chief Medical Director, Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi, Prof. Orkurga Malu, the Medical Director, Federal Medical Centre, Makurdi, Dr. Peteru Inuduu, and some officials of the State Hospital Management Board appeared before members of the House in an executive session held in the Speaker’s office.
