Security exhibition, confab holds in October
Due to the security challenges in the country, the Nigerian Security Exhibition and Conference (NISEC) is set to hold a three -day security confab at the Sheraton Hotels in Abuja.
The confab, which starts from 27th through 30th October 2015 is titled: “Defense and Homeland Security – Africa 2015” and seeks to attract relevant security agencies, industries and stakeholders in the sector, across the world.
The annual event is an avenue to connect the industry through high-level capacity building for a secured Nigeria and safer world.
A statement signed by the event’s chief organizer, Comrade Frank Ohwofa, said the event which is the second edition is all about “premiering networking, knowledge based platform for the display of latest defense technologies, security products and services.”
According to him, the confab is the single largest defense and homeland security event in Africa, hence just like the maiden edition, delegates are expected from 24 nations, as well as defense attaches of foreign missions in Nigeria.
Ohwofa further said, “ in line with our vision to develop and build capacity across agencies, NISEC 2015 show is featuring six plenary sessions which includes paper presentations from key industry experts and professionals.”
“ The panel and speakers comprises of local and international industry experts who shall review military strategies, policies, equipment, technologies and best practices in the industry to recommend effective strategies for the now and beyond to mitigate and overcome conventional and unconventional security threats to national peace and security,” he added.

We also know of how to manufacture arms. A factory sited and local raw materials are source to be feedstock for the industry. It will reduce over dependence on foreign arms though they superior.
