The Police Officers’ Wife Association (POWA) Kaduna State chapter, has extended its helping hands to the less- privileged and wives, whose husbands died in the course of service to the nation through Nigeria Police Force, promising to grant the deceased officer’s wife a soft loan for business start-up.

The wife of the state Police Commissioner and the chairperson of POWA, Kaduna chapter, Mrs. Maureen Abeh, said the relief materials were a tip of an ice berg, compared to what the organisation would subsequently offer.

One of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Bridget Ojiake said since the death of her husband, Inspector Sunday Ojiake in 2015, life has been difficult due to the economic recession in the country.

While showing appreciation for the POWA’s initiative, she called on the organisation to do more.
